Vision
A New System
We are trapped in a “Success to the Successful Loop”. In 2022, Business Insider reported that the bottom half of American families hold just 2% of the country's wealth — while the top 1% of families hold a third. Since 2020, each billionaire has gained roughly $1.7 million for every $1 of new global wealth earned by a person in the bottom 90 percent.
That doesn’t sit right.
A significant factor that contributes to this wealth disparity is education. Access to quality education, particularly in technology, is limited for many individuals, hindering their ability to gain essential skills and knowledge to thrive in today's economy. Closing this education gap can empower people to better understand and utilize technology, unlocking new opportunities and income streams that were once out of reach.
To unwind “the success to the successful loop” we find ourselves in, I believe it is imperative to build a new system that gives open-access education through advanced technology.
To achieve this, I am set on three important initiatives.
Educate. Encourage. Empower.
Inititiatives
-
Investing in Student Innovation
Investing in Student Innovation is crucial because it empowers the next generation of leaders, thinkers, and creators by giving them the resources and support they need to develop groundbreaking solutions. By focusing on projects with direct community impact, we ensure that students are not only learning valuable skills but also developing a sense of responsibility and empathy for the communities they serve. This fosters a generation of entrepreneurs who prioritize social good over mere profit generation.
-
Prioritizing Local Businesses
Assisting small businesses is vital because they are the backbone of local economies and contribute significantly to the character and identity of communities. By providing resources and support, we level the playing field, enabling small business owners to compete with larger corporations and franchises. This leads to increased innovation, job creation, and overall economic growth that benefits everyone, not just the few at the top.
-
Community: Teaching Tech Together
Building a Learn-First Community is key to ensuring that individuals have the opportunity to continuously grow and adapt in a rapidly changing world. By fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and idea-sharing, we empower people to think critically, solve problems, and develop new skills that contribute to both their personal success and the success of their communities. This initiative creates a more resilient and adaptable society that can thrive in the face of unprecedented technological advancements.
Together, these three initiatives form the core of our "new system".
By focusing on innovation, support for small businesses, and fostering a learn-first mindset, we can unwind the "Success to the Successful Loop" and create a more equitable, inclusive, and thriving society for all.
The Solution
-
Provide accessible education and resources to help individuals develop the skills and knowledge necessary to harness technology for their benefit, creating new income streams and opportunities.
-
Encourage creativity and collaboration by investing in student innovation and supporting small businesses, enabling them to leverage technology to improve their operations and positively impact their communities.
-
Redefine success by aligning corporate incentives with community development, so that a company's growth directly contributes to the well-being and prosperity of the communities it serves.
