University Life
I am a proud Longhorn. I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a bachelors degree in public relations. During school, I was voted as 2022 Chapter President of the Year (Delta Sigma Phi) and represented over 5,000 students as the Moody College of Communications Student Representative.
Socially, I threw parties every weekend and played a primary role in organizing a 1,000+ ticketed West Campus festival - WestFest. In working towards my professional career, I discovered a love for new software, markets, and tech. I helped connect crypto companies to UT Austin through Texas Blockchain, where I was point for corporate communications. That built my obsession as a crypto bro.
Fun fact: Crypto paid for half of my college.

Early Career
During the 2021 bull market, I worked for a digital asset hedge fund, Tradecraft Capital, as an associate for 3 years. I was responsible for connecting potential LPs, GPs, and accredited investors to our C-Suite. I was also point crypto education man and helped the fund reconcile books, analyze tokens, and headed operational work. Unfortunately, when the crypto market collapsed, so did the fund.
I pivoted to tech sales working at Miro and then quickly jumping ship to join a small team at Codeium.
Codeium rebranded to Windsurf, where we pioneered the AI IDE. I got to witness first hand how AI was completely changing the landscape for software engineers. I was responsible for breaking into Fortune 500 companies on the front lines, leading the SDR team, and architecting outbound systems that helped us scale to $100M ARR. Then Google acqui-hired our C-Suite & top 20 researchers, which put a bad taste in my mouth working in tech. The whole company got f*cked - the founders that sold us on “we’ll never sell”… sold out, leaving the company in limbo to die. Thankfully, twitter threw a fit and demanded something be done. Cognition, saw an opportunity for good PR and acquired the rest of the company. (Shout out to Scott Wu & Jeff Wang) The company ended up laying off over 60% of employees but they offered a buyout + acquisition bonus. I was able to successfully exit. I ended my sales stint with $9.1M+ in validated pipeline.
Since then, I am focusing on my pivot into the brand partnership & sponsorship space, where my passion for live event entertainment has always been. I started my own company Checkm8 entertainment, where I DJ and coordinate events. On the side, I am actively building my portfolio leading brand partnerships & sponsorships for Secret Disco Society (EDM Live Events) and XPH Group (NFL Marketing).
Despite the bumps, life has treated me well. I’m confident wherever I go, I can make an immediate impact.
